New at UTS this season: The Contender’s League. What is it? It’s basically a “secondary” league that will play out in parallel to the traditional UTS league. The difference? The 8 Contenders commit to playing all of the league events, which means they will become real experts of the UTS format. These competitors have been selected for their spectacular games, electric personas, different styles, talent, and physical abilities. They have all the qualities to shine on the big stage, and more, and they are craving to vibe with the UTS fans and compete with the world’s best players. With the Contender’s League, you’ll connect with the players like never before. You’ll literally enter their universe.
In between events, they’ll train at the Mouratoglou Academy in the South of France, where they will continue to be under the spotlights: fans follow them (virtually) on the practice courts, at the gym, and in their private lives for a unique TV-show-like experience. At the end of the season, the top four players of the league will get to compete against the four UTS Primary League champions in an ultimate event, that we could call our “Season Finale.” What’s at stake? The trophies of trophies, the UTS Crown.
