21-year-old Alex de Minaur plays tennis from another world. With a naughty game, powerful groundstrokes and one of the best footwork on tour, he has quickly risen in the ATP rankings and was named the 2018 ATP Newcomer of the Year. Known by many as a little speed Demon, he can send his opponents through hell and back within a single rally. At only 19 years old, he won his first ATP title, in his hometown Sydney. Two more titles – Atlanta and Zhuhai – quickly followed. The 2020 US Open quarterfinalist was the third player to win an ATP event without facing any breakpoint and the youngest player to play in two consecutive ATP semi finals since Rafael Nadal, in 2005. Alex is coming into UTS with bad intentions… such as stealing the lightning bolt trophy, perhaps?
